some days are just.. those days.ever had one? it just kind of sucks. everything goes wrong. not even necessarily lots of extremely bad things, but lots of just not-so-great things. and it results in a kind of bad day.
sometimes you cant even remember everything that was bad during the day. but as the day progresses, the little things that happen just kind of build up on themselves. and you just feel crappy. You feel like the whole world is just spinning wrong. Something is in the water. It's just off.
that is today.
what turns it around? when you feel so down and depressed? What is it, exactly, that changes it?
i'll tell you. because i've learned today.
meet helen and ellen. twin 82 year old sisters in knoxville, tennessee.
they started 'the love kitchen.'
their very own homeless kitchen. they are the sweetest, most genuine, HAPPY little old ladies i've ever seen in my life. they exude and radiate love throughout their entire countenance. they run this unselfish little ktichen on faith. there are months when they dont even know how much longer funds will last to keep it open. they smile and say with a sweet southern accent::
"somehow it always does."
their sweet, simple, unpretentious inspiration is so wonderful to me.
- 1. There is only one Father and that is the Father in Heaven.
- 2. There is only one race, the human race.
- 3. Never take the last piece of bread. Someone may come by in need of it.
They are my inspiration today.
When you feel like you are in need, there is always, always someone who needs more. look for it. it'll change your day around.
